We will pick you up from your hotel, and after getting you acquainted with your guide and chef, transfer you to Tarangire National Park (a two-hour drive). Tarangire is known for its abundant, ancient baobab trees and boasts the largest concentration of elephants in the country. You’ll have unique opportunities to observe the interaction between elephant families. During our game drive through the park, we’ll focus on areas with reported animal sightings, with a special emphasis on predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards (since they are more elusive). Herbivores like giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras are also plentiful throughout the park.
Later, we will visit the Tarangire River picnic site to enjoy lunch with a beautiful view of the river and the surrounding wildlife. Keep in mind that small monkeys and baboons may try to steal your lunch, but there is nothing to worry about.
After breakfast in the morning, we will transport you to Serengeti National Park, the third-largest national park in Tanzania. The Serengeti is renowned for hosting the “Big Five” and a variety of other animals. We will game drive until lunchtime, allowing you to witness the diverse wildlife present in the park. After lunch and an evening game drive, you’ll return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
After an early morning breakfast, we will embark on a game drive to further acquaint you with the vast expanse of Serengeti National Park and explore some lesser-known areas. Providing an opportunity to witness the hippopotamus and other aquatic animals such as lizards and crocodiles until lunchtime. After lunch, head to the campsite in Ngorongoro. We hope you will find this experience enjoyable. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.
Note: For those who have booked the balloon safari for today, you will be picked up from the camp at 5.00 am for a 6.00 am departure. If you wish to book a balloon safari, please let us know in advance, The price is $650 per person. After your 60 – 90 minute (depending on wind condition) aerial adventure, you’ll enjoy a bush breakfast and champagne. Thereafter your driver guide will pick you up for your full-day game drive.
After breakfast at 6:00 am we drive to the Seneto gate of the crater, then we will drive down the crater floor where you will play games and explore the floor of the crater. You will have enough time to see many cats in the morning like lions, hyenas, and others. Lunch will be saved at a designated picnic site near a hippo pool afterward, and continue with game drives. You can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only, late afternoon drive to Arusha town for a drop off.
