After the game drive, we will proceed to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest caldera which was formed after the explosion of a volcano some 2 to 3 million years ago. The crater floor is 1800 meters (5900 feet) above sea level and hosts around 30 000 animals and a great variety of birds.
